Hai Bucharest is an independent guide for people visiting Romania's capital. It is written by locals who live in the city, walk its streets every day and want visitors to see more than the Old Town on a Friday night.

What you'll find here

Itineraries for one, two or three days, the places worth your time, the neighbourhoods to explore, the Romanian food to try and the practical details that make a trip easier: getting in from the airport, paying for transport, staying safe.

How we choose

We only recommend places we know. Nobody pays to be included, and nobody can pay to be ranked higher. Prices, opening hours and transport details change, so we check them regularly and show the date a page was last updated.
